Carrefour Kenya has officially kicked off its first-ever ‘Brand Festival,’ a two-week shopping extravaganza offering customers discounts of up to 50 per cent and a chance to win prizes worth over KES 10 million. The festival, which runs from March 14 to 27, 2025, is a collaboration with over 30 leading brands across various categories, including home appliances, personal care, household products, and food and beverages.

Speaking at the launch event, the Managing Director of Majid Al Futtaim, the exclusive rights holder to operate Carrefour in Kenya, expressed excitement about the initiative. “We are thrilled to launch our first Brand Festival in Carrefour Kenya today. This event celebrates the strong partnerships we have with over 30 supplier brands who have come together to make this possible. We are offering over KES 10 million in prizes, including a car valued at KES 1.3 million, to ensure our customers have an outstanding shopping experience over the next two weeks,” he said.

The festival, which is available at all 28 Carrefour stores nationwide and on the Carrefour app, allows customers to enter a prize draw with every purchase from participating brands. Prizes include home appliances, home makeovers, shopping vouchers, assorted dry food hampers, and fully-paid holiday trips.

Luck Ochieng, Managing Director of Unilever Kenya, one of the key partners in the festival, highlighted the importance of the event in addressing consumer needs. “The Kenyan consumer is under significant pressure today. This festival is designed to offer not just discounts but also something extra to celebrate. For instance, we’re giving away a hybrid vehicle, which will also help reduce running costs for the winner,” Ochieng said.

He added, “Our partnership with Carrefour has been incredibly successful, growing consistently in double digits. This is because everything we do starts and ends with the consumer. This festival is a testament to that commitment.”

To participate in the prize draw, customers need to spend a minimum of KES 1,500 on participating products.

The Carrefour Brand Festival is not just about savings but also about creating a memorable shopping experience. As Ochieng aptly put it, “Let’s have a great festival.”

With unbeatable discounts, exciting prizes, and a wide range of products, the Carrefour Brand Festival is set to be the shopping event of the year.
