Nairobi, Kenya – LG Electronics East Africa has introduced its premium ARTCOOL Air Conditioner in the Kenyan market, marking a bold step in the company’s expansion into high-efficiency, design-driven home appliances.
The launch comes as Kenya’s residential air conditioning sector shows strong momentum, projected to grow by 12.56% in 2025 and 13.17% in 2026. Rising urbanisation, a growing middle class, and demand for energy-efficient solutions are fueling this growth. Regionally, sub-Saharan Africa’s HVAC market is forecast to exceed $5.23 billion by 2030.
Speaking at the launch in Nairobi, LG East Africa President, Donghun Lee, described the ARTCOOL as a perfect blend of “technology and design,” underscoring LG’s long-term commitment to innovation in the region.
“This product represents a new era of air conditioning by combining performance with aesthetic appeal. It is built for consumers who value both reliability and style,” he said.
The ARTCOOL features LG’s Inverter Compressor, which delivers up to 70% energy savings and 40% faster cooling while maintaining ultra-low noise levels. The technology is backed by a 10-year compressor warranty, reflecting consumer demand for durability and low maintenance.
Designed with modern living in mind, the unit sports a sleek, minimalist finish and Wi-Fi-enabled smart controls. Through the LG ThinQ app, users can remotely operate the air conditioner, adjust settings, and monitor energy usage straight from their smartphones.
