Huawei Unveils New GT6 Series, GT6 Pro and MatePad TXZ Lineup in Kenya, Delivering Smarter Health, Productivity and Seamless Ecosystem Experiences

Nairobi, Kenya, 20th November 2025: Huawei Kenya has unveiled its latest next-generation wearables and tablets, introducing the Huawei GT6 Series, GT6 Pro, and the new MatePad TXZ range. The launch marks a major step in delivering smarter living solutions that blend health innovation, premium design and seamless cross-device integration for today’s dynamic users.

Huawei reaffirmed its leadership in wearable and tablet technology by showcasing devices built to support smarter, healthier and more connected lifestyles across multiple operating systems. With the GT6 Series and GT6 Pro, Huawei is responding to rising demand for wellness-driven living powered by emotional wellbeing tools, advanced sports tracking and ultra-long battery life. Both watches feature premium materials, including sapphire glass and titanium alloy, reinforcing Huawei’s commitment to durability and luxury craftsmanship.

Aligned with its vision to “bring digital to every person, home and organization for a fully connected, intelligent world,” Huawei continues to expand its ecosystem of wearables, tablets and smart living solutions. The GT6 Series and MatePad TXZ strengthen this momentum. Globally, Huawei has shipped more than 180 million smart wearables as of 2024 and ranked #1 in wrist wearable shipments worldwide between Q1 and Q3 2024.

This global strength is reflected in Kenya, where consumers are embracing technology that combines fitness, emotional wellbeing, mobility and premium design at competitive prices. The new GT6 Series and MatePad TXZ directly meet these needs by delivering deeper health insights, long-lasting performance and smooth connectivity for everyday life. “Kenya is a rapidly growing hub for digital wellness, and we’re proud to bring global innovations like the WATCH FIT 4 and Band 10 to this market,” said Jin Renbin, Device Manager, Huawei Kenya. “These devices are slim, powerful and smart—designed for both style-conscious users and committed fitness enthusiasts.”

The event also highlighted the GT6 Series and GT6 Pro’s powerful blend of Emotional Wellbeing 2.0, outdoor sports capabilities and seamless compatibility across Android, iOS, HarmonyOS and the broader Huawei ecosystem. The wearables introduce advanced cycling analytics, improved heart-rate algorithms, refined sleep tracking and pro-grade outdoor features tailored for users who demand accuracy and peak performance.

Alongside the wearables, Huawei introduced the MatePad TXZ series, emphasizing PC-level productivity and PaperMatte creativity tools. The tablets offer a comfortable, glare-free viewing experience that mimics real paper, making them ideal for students, creators and professionals who rely on digital tools for learning, work and ideation. Lightweight and versatile, the MatePad TXZ range reinforces Huawei’s mission to make boundary-free productivity accessible to all.

Seamless ecosystem integration remained a central message throughout the launch. Huawei devices now work fluidly across HarmonyOS, Android, iOS and Huawei’s own ecosystem, allowing users to switch effortlessly between phone, tablet, laptop and wearable. This cross-platform experience reflects Huawei’s belief that technology should simplify life—not complicate it.

Speaking at the event, Wilfred Otieno, Marketing Manager, Devices at Huawei Technologies Kenya, reaffirmed the brand’s commitment to delivering meaningful innovation to Kenyan consumers. “Technology needs to add value to everyday living,” he said. “With this new lineup, we are bringing together health innovation, premium design, creativity tools and seamless connectivity that empower every user to live smarter and better.”

The GT6 Series, GT6 Pro and MatePad TXZ tablets are now available in Huawei stores and at authorized retail partners nationwide. To support the launch, Huawei will offer promotional bundles and in-store demos so customers can explore the devices first-hand.

Kenya’s release aligns with Huawei’s broader global rollout of the GT6 Series. The wearable line has already launched in China, with additional rollouts in Malaysia, Japan and the Philippines between late September and early October 2025. It is also confirmed for upcoming release in Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates, where it has already secured official certification. This positions Kenya among the first African markets to receive the GT6 Series, underscoring Huawei’s commitment to delivering its latest wearable innovations in step with global releases.

“We believe technology should be inclusive,” Wilfred added. “We are delivering flagship-level capabilities at prices that work for Kenyan professionals, athletes, students and everyone in between.”

As Kenyan consumers continue seeking lifestyle solutions that combine fitness, emotional wellbeing, mobility and refined design, Huawei remains focused on delivering products that elevate these everyday experiences.
