Samburu in Crisis: Rising Gang Attacks Leave Residents in Panic.

Amid a sharp rise in insecurity and violent criminal activities, with gangs posing as bandits terrorizing residents, Samburu County is facing a growing crisis. Senator Hezena Lemaletian has now called on the Ministry of Interior to take immediate action, urging them to prioritize interventions aimed at restoring peace and stability across the region.

Speaking today during press briefing senator Hezena has urged the government to provide an update on the progress of investigations in the criminal incidents including any arrest made and those arraigned in court.

She further urged the government to increase number of security personnel in an effort to adequate resources to effectively combat violent crimes and provide a long lasting solution to curb the increasing cases of robberies, business attacks, and other criminal activities as well as measures to enhance proper coordination between security agencies and the local community for improved crime prevention and intelligence gathering.
