Nairobi, November 11, 2025 — The Nairobi Hospital has convened a strategic engagement session with Human Resource Directors from top-performing organizations to strengthen collaboration and advance workforce wellbeing.
Held under the theme “Strategic Workforce Wellness as the Science Behind High-Performing Cultures,” the session equipped HR leaders with valuable insights, emerging case laws, and global analytics on the evolving role of wellness in driving organizational performance.
The HR Directors agreed on the urgent need for deeper engagement with The Nairobi Hospital to enhance existing partnerships and exchange expertise on holistic staff wellness as a core business strategy.
Speaking during the session, The Nairobi Hospital Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Felix Osano, reaffirmed the hospital’s unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive, tailor-made healthcare solutions that meet the specific needs of organizations and their employees.
“The hospital remains fully dedicated to serving all patients and delivering quality healthcare services. Over the past year, we have continuously engaged partners and clients to adopt progressive policies that improve healthcare access for all. These efforts have fostered constructive dialogue, and we believe this collaboration will further advance the Universal Healthcare goal,” said Mr. Osano.
Echoing his sentiments, Kenya Hospital Association (KHA) Board Chair, Dr. Barcley Onyambu, underscored the central role of employee wellbeing in achieving sustainable institutional success. He emphasized the importance of long-term partnerships between corporate organizations and healthcare providers in nurturing resilient, high-performing teams.
“In all our undertakings, we are guided by one central principle People First. Sustainable excellence is only achieved when the wellbeing, growth, and engagement of people are prioritized. Our efforts toward universal health coverage go beyond hospital walls to include mental, social, and psychological wellbeing. We will continue strengthening partnerships to address emerging health issues and align with evolving national and regional healthcare trends,” stated Dr. Onyambu.
As HR leaders increasingly link wellness initiatives to employer branding, workforce stability, and business performance, the session reaffirmed their role as architects of human sustainability building thriving workforces and resilient corporate cultures.
Globally, wellness has evolved from a benefit to a strategic business lever. Organizations now recognize its direct impact on productivity, retention, and culture. The World Health Organization’s 2025 Sustainable Development Goal 3 targets a one-third reduction in mental health-related cases through preventive and wellness initiatives. Similarly, the International Labour Organization identifies mental health as a key driver of economic productivity, reinforcing the value of investing in employee wellbeing.
For decades, The Nairobi Hospital has stood out as a center of excellence in advanced care and recovery. Through continuous investment in modern medical technology and specialized professionals, the hospital remains a trusted partner for comprehensive wellness and organizational productivity.
Reaffirming its vision, The Nairobi Hospital pledged to continue championing holistic wellness integrating physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing as a catalyst for performance in both individuals and institutions.
