Uadilifu Peace Forum Calls for Unity Ahead of Gachagua’s Return.

Nairobi, August 20, 2025 – The Uadilifu Peace Forum has called on Kenyans to uphold peace and unity as the country awaits the return of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday.

Speaking during prayers at Jeevanjee Gardens, the forum’s coordinator, Rhodah Kinya, urged both leaders and citizens to put aside political differences and protect the nation’s stability. She warned that violence and demonstrations have already claimed the lives of children and must not be allowed to continue.

“We do not want more killings or demonstrations. Our children are dying, and without peace there is no future,” said Kinya. She emphasized that leaders have a duty to embrace their responsibility and work towards harmony across the country.

Other members of the forum echoed her sentiments, stressing that peace must prevail during and after Gachagua’s arrival. They insisted that the country should not descend into chaos and urged all leaders to guide their supporters towards unity.

The gathering brought together community members, religious leaders, and peace advocates, who prayed and shared messages of reconciliation. Kinya noted that Uadilifu Peace Forum plans to extend its peace advocacy to all 47 counties in a bid to strengthen national cohesion.
