Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has alleged a plot by the Kenya Kwanza administration to register foreigners as voters ahead of the 2027 general elections. He claimed that the government could misuse the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise to add foreigners to the voter roll.
Kalonzo warned that such actions would undermine the Constitution and compromise Kenya’s electoral integrity. “We hope William Ruto will not register foreigners as voters. We suspect there may be plans afoot to register foreigners instead of Kenyans,” he said.
Speaking at Wiper headquarters during the Wiper National Executive Committee (NEC),on Wednesday, the party also formalised the expulsion of Daadab MP Farah Maalim. Kalonzo criticised recent comments by President Ruto’s allies, describing them as worrying and claimed that their confidence in winning future elections raised serious questions.

“We wonder where they are getting the numbers from. Every time they say ‘we will win’ when we know that the country is united against him (Ruto),” Kalonzo said. He added that these statements could indicate plans to rig the 2027 elections.
Wiper Party also unveiled its bold 2025 agenda, calling it a year of action. The party said it would lead nationwide protests by March if there was no progress in reconstituting the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
“The Wiper Democratic Movement will lead demonstrations by the end of March if there is no progress in the reconstitution of the new IEBC,” the party said. The leadership also announced plans to strengthen its presence nationwide by holding structured elections and scrapping the national delegates’ conference.
Kalonzo stressed the need for electoral reforms, saying they were critical to restoring public confidence in the electoral process. He warned that failure to act could destabilise the country.
