Winds of change are sweeping across Kenya’s political landscape as Prof. Kithure Kindiki steps into his new role as Deputy President, a nomination warmly welcomed by many, including the influential Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organization (MYWO). National Chairperson, Mrs. Rahab Mwikali Muiu, HSC, in a press statement expressed deep gratitude and optimism, acknowledging the significance of the appointment.
Speaking on behalf of MYWO leaders nationwide, Mrs. Muiu hailed President William Ruto’s decision as a testament to the wisdom and foresight needed to lead the nation. “We are deeply grateful to God for His guidance and we commend His Excellency President Ruto for his thoughtful choice of Prof. Kindiki,” she remarked. According to Ms. Muiu, this appointment serves the best interests of the nation and signals a positive direction for Kenya’s future.

As an experienced leader from Eastern Kenya, Ms. Muiu represents many who believe that Prof. Kindiki’s appointment is not just about filling a position, but ensuring that the country’s leadership continues to serve with integrity and vision. She emphasized the need for unity and urged leaders and citizens alike to rally behind Prof. Kindiki. “While many candidates have vied for the position, the nation’s priority now should be to support Prof. Kindiki as he works with President Ruto to advance Kenya’s development agenda.”
