Salute iWorld, East Africa’s leading Apple Authorized Reseller, has officially unveiled the much-anticipated iPhone 17 Series in Kenya, marking a major milestone in the country’s fast-growing mobile technology market. The colorful launch, held at the newly revamped Salute iWorld office at Village Market, brought together industry leaders, tech enthusiasts, and distinguished guests.

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino officiated the event as the chief guest. He congratulated Salute iWorld for what he described as a “remarkable milestone” in advancing digital access and innovation in Kenya. “Salute iWorld has shown that Kenya continues to grow as a technology hub in Africa. This milestone reflects our nation’s readiness to embrace advanced innovations,” said Owino.

The launch featured the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, and the flagship models iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max Apple’s latest generation of smartphones that deliver unmatched performance and design excellence.

Speaking during the event, Salute iWorld’s Managing Director Vivek Mehra highlighted the revolutionary features of the new devices. “The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max represent a leap forward in mobile technology,” he said. “They come with Apple’s most powerful A19 Pro chip, enabling next-level gaming, advanced photography, and exceptional energy efficiency.”

The new devices are equipped with three 48MP Fusion cameras Main, Ultra Wide, and Telephoto offering up to 8x optical zoom, a first in iPhone history. The 18MP Center Stage front camera enhances selfie photography and video calls, while new features like ProRes RAW and Apple Log 2 cater to professional filmmakers.

The devices also boast Apple’s new Ceramic Shield 2 protection, which is three times more scratch-resistant, and now covers both the front and back for enhanced durability. Available in Deep Blue, Cosmic Orange, and Silver, the phones blend performance with stunning design.

In celebration of the launch, Salute iWorld unveiled its newly upgraded flagship store at Village Market, a Sh5 million investment designed to offer an immersive and interactive shopping experience. The revamped space features modern layouts, experiential product zones, and digital engagement areas where customers can explore Apple’s innovations hands-on.

“Our goal is to create a space where customers can explore, learn, and enjoy a unique shopping experience,” said Vincent Onyango, the Business Manager at Salute iWorld.

Kenya’s smartphone market continues to expand rapidly, with the Communication Authority of Kenya reporting 83.5 percent smartphone penetration by April 2025. This growing demand makes Kenya a key market for premium technology brands like Apple.

Founded in 2012, Salute iWorld operates nine Apple retail outlets across Kenya, including Westgate Mall, The Junction Mall, Yaya Centre, Garden City Mall, Capital Centre, and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The company has partnered with top financial institutions such as KCB, Standard Chartered, NCBA, I&M Bank, and Flexpay to offer flexible payment options for customers.

The launch of the iPhone 17 Series not only cements Salute iWorld’s leadership in the premium tech retail space but also reinforces Kenya’s position as a key destination for digital innovation in Africa.
