PRINTAN Launches New SINOTRUK HOWO MAX Truck in Kenya.

PRINTAN has unveiled the new SINOTRUK HOWO MAX truck in Kenya, introducing what it calls a game-changer for the country’s transport and logistics industry. The launch event, held in Nairobi on May 6, 2025, showcased a vehicle designed to tackle Africa’s toughest terrains while offering operators lower running costs and higher profitability.

PRINTAN CEO Hossein Goudarzi described the HOWO MAX as a transformative solution for Kenya’s transport needs. “We’re bringing durable, innovative trucks at affordable prices specifically designed for long-distance heavy-load transportation,” Goudarzi told attendees. “This truck is engineered for Kenyan conditions, with upgraded features and unmatched reliability at a significantly lower total cost than competitors.”

The HOWO MAX enters a market hungry for robust yet cost-effective transport solutions. Its design focuses on the needs of logistics companies and cargo operators, combining power with fuel efficiency in a package that includes a spacious cabin and heavy-duty chassis. The truck’s specifications make it equally capable on cross-border routes and challenging rural roads, promising operators better load capacity and operational efficiency.

A key selling point is PRINTAN’s after-sales support network. With main offices strategically located in Nairobi, the company promises localized maintenance and parts availability to minimize downtime. Goudarzi emphasized PRINTAN’s exclusive partnership with SINOTRUK, ensuring Kenyan customers receive genuine parts, customized financing options, and priority access to technical support.

The HOWO MAX 6×4 Prime Mover model features a 480HP MAN technology engine compliant with Euro 3 standards, a high-roof cabin with air suspension and sleeping berths for driver comfort, and a VOITH retarder gearbox for smoother operation. Dual fuel tanks provide extended range, while heavy-duty suspension and drum brakes promise durability under heavy loads. Safety features include ABS brakes and reinforced lighting.

SINOTRUK’s global manufacturing scale – producing over 1.7 million trucks annually – allows PRINTAN to offer competitive pricing while maintaining quality. The HOWO brand already holds more than half of Kenya’s heavy-duty truck market, with five years of proven performance in local conditions.

With its launch slogan “Always Moving, Always Earning,” PRINTAN positions the HOWO MAX as a tool for business growth in Africa’s demanding transport environment. The truck is now available through PRINTAN’s Nairobi dealership, offering Kenyan operators what the company calls an unprecedented combination of power, comfort and value.
