Somali Entrepreneur Showcases Creative Talent at Kenya’s 25th MSME Trade Fair
Nairobi, Kenya — Somali entrepreneur Naima Elmi is among the exhibitors showcasing their products at Kenya’s 25th East African Community (EAC) MSME Trade Fair, currently taking place at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi.
Naima, who runs a thriving business specializing in clothing and artistic creations, says the event has provided her with a valuable platform to display her work and connect with potential partners from across the region.
“This fair has given me a great opportunity to share Somali creativity with the world and to learn from other entrepreneurs,” she said, expressing her excitement about participating in the regional event.
Her exhibition booth features a variety of handmade garments and art pieces, reflecting Somalia’s rich culture and craftsmanship. Many visitors have been drawn to her display, appreciating the unique blend of tradition and modern design.
The annual trade fair, which brings together hundreds of exhibitors from EAC member states, aims to promote regional integration, innovation, and market access for small and medium enterprises.
Naima hopes her participation will not only expand her business but also inspire other women in Somalia to explore cross-border trade and showcase their talents beyond national borders.
