Urysia Expands Its Footprint With Jeep and Citroën Launch in Kenya

Urysia Limited has opened a new chapter in Kenya’s automotive industry after introducing Jeep and Citroën into its lineup. This expansion turns the long-standing Peugeot distributor into a dynamic multi-brand dealership with a wider market reach and a stronger customer focus.

The unveiling took place today in Nairobi and marked a significant step for Urysia as it strengthens its position in a market that demands more choice, better service and modern mobility solutions. With Jeep and Citroën now joining Peugeot, customers can access three internationally recognised brands under one roof.

This shift comes at a time when Kenya’s mobility needs continue to evolve. Urysia’s new portfolio aligns with Stellantis, the global automotive group formed through the merger of PSA Groupe and FCA. Through this partnership, Urysia can now introduce advanced technologies and next-generation vehicles tailored to a changing market.

Principal Secretary for Trade Regina Ombam commended the company for responding to the country’s growing appetite for diverse mobility options. She said Urysia’s multi-brand approach strengthens Kenya’s position as a regional hub for modern automotive solutions.

The expanded product range will now cater to a wide spectrum of drivers. Jeep brings its adventure-ready 4×4 lifestyle models. Citroën offers efficient and comfort-led solutions for urban mobility. Peugeot continues to anchor the dealership with its trusted and versatile SUV and sedan lineup.

Each of the three brands brings a distinct advantage. Jeep appeals to the premium adventure and lifestyle market. Citroën provides smart, affordable mobility for everyday use. Peugeot delivers durable and modern performance trusted across Kenya for decades.

Urysia has also invested heavily in after-sales support. Its services now include fully equipped service centres in Nairobi, a growing network of partner workshops across the country, mobile support units and specialized technical teams focused on reducing customer downtime. This stronger support base reflects Urysia’s commitment to a seamless customer experience.

Managing Director Claude Mwende said the expansion reflects a deep understanding of consumer expectations. He noted that modern customers seek convenience, reliability and a variety of ownership options that fit their lifestyles and budgets.

To meet those needs, Urysia will roll out flexible financing plans, leasing packages for NGOs and corporate clients, structured fleet support and concierge-style care. These services include priority repairs, pick-and-drop options and personalized vehicle delivery.

Kenya’s demand for SUVs, pickups and lifestyle vehicles continues to grow, and Mwende believes the introduction of Jeep and Citroën will raise the bar in performance, safety, efficiency and technology. He also noted that Urysia is positioning itself to support Kenya’s gradual shift toward electric mobility through Peugeot’s EV-ready systems and Stellantis’ innovation pipeline.

The upgraded showroom now displays the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Gladiator, the Citroën C3, C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross, and a complete range of Peugeot models.

The launch attracted representatives from the US and French embassies, financial partners, corporate fleet buyers and industry players. Urysia said this multi-brand direction marks the start of a long-term growth journey driven by innovation, customer value and market diversification.
