Government Pledges Full Support for HIV Patients Amid Funding Crisis .

The government has assured HIV patients that their treatment and care will not be disrupted despite the recent withdrawal of funding by the Trump administration.

Speaking at KICC Tower on Wednesday, government spokesperson Hon. Sen. (Dr.) Isaac Mwaura reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that all affected individuals continue to receive essential medical support. He emphasized that no patient will be left behind and stressed that immediate measures are being taken to bridge the funding gap.

Dr.Mwaura highlighted that the government is actively mobilizing local resources, strengthening partnerships and engaging new donors to ensure uninterrupted access to treatment and care.

The sudden withdrawal of international funding had caused widespread concern among patients and health care providers, raising fears of possible treatment disruptions. However, the government has moved quickly to reassure those affected, highlighting ongoing efforts to secure alternative sources of support.

In addition, the authorities are working closely with health sector stakeholders to develop sustainable, long-term solutions that will reduce dependence on foreign aid. Patients are encouraged to remain hopeful as the government promises a smooth transition to locally sustained health.

The government is confident that HIV patients will continue to receive the care they need and that their health and well-being will remain a top priority.
