Nairobi, October 3, 2025 – Heineken® 0.0, through Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL), has doubled its support for the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon with a Ksh 10 million sponsorship for the 2025 edition.

The zero-alcohol brand will headline the 21-kilometre half-marathon, offering runners a crisp, refreshing option that promotes wellness and responsible drinking. Savanna 0.0 cider will also be featured under the sponsorship package.

KWAL Head of Marketing, Dr. Senorine Wasike, said the increased investment underscores the company’s commitment to healthier lifestyles and community impact.

“KWAL is proud to partner with the Nairobi Marathon as it encourages Kenyans to embrace fitness and wellness,” Dr. Wasike said during the sponsors’ breakfast in Nairobi. “Our decision to raise our sponsorship from Ksh 5 million to Ksh 10 million reflects our dedication to initiatives that make a positive difference.”

She pointed to the Future Makers Program, a social impact initiative linked to the Marathon, which supports economic inclusion for disadvantaged youth. “The Marathon is more than a sporting event. It drives community development and well-being, making it an ideal partner for Heineken® 0.0,” she added.

Prudence Mutembei, KWAL’s Senior Brand Manager for beers, noted that the non-alcoholic beer has been embraced by health-conscious consumers who want balance.

“Heineken® 0.0 allows consumers to enjoy a premium beer experience with zero alcohol and fewer calories, fitting perfectly into active, health-driven lifestyles,” Mutembei said.

She added that demand for non-alcoholic beverages in Kenya is growing rapidly, particularly among Gen Z and young professionals. “Many are choosing zero-alcohol options that let them enjoy social occasions without compromise,” she explained.

With this strengthened partnership, Heineken® 0.0 continues to position itself as the refreshing choice for Kenyans seeking wellness, balance, and responsible enjoyment.
