Echo Network Africa Rebrands to ENAF, Expands Vision for Women’s Empowerment.

Echo Network Africa (ENA) has officially rebranded to Echo Network Africa Foundation (ENAF) in a bold move aimed at expanding its reach and impact across Africa. The rebranding was unveiled during a ceremony at the foundation’s offices along Muchai Drive, Ngong Road, marking a new chapter in its commitment to gender equality and social transformation.

Chief Justice (CJ) and President of Supreme court of Kenya, Martha Koome, who graced the event, hailed the rebranding as more than just a name change, describing it as the beginning of a broader vision to scale and replicate ENAF’s development models beyond Kenya. She emphasized the need to harness the full potential of women and girls across the continent, stating that gender equality is not just a women’s fight but a collective responsibility for all.

“We want positive changes—politically and socially. We must remove all barriers and create opportunities for women and girls,” she said. “Our country and continent will only flourish when women are not just struggling to survive but are empowered to thrive.”

The rebranding also served as a curtain-raiser for the upcoming International Women’s Day celebrations, reaffirming ENAF’s commitment to advocating for women’s rights in line with the Beijing Platform for Action’s twelve thematic areas.

CJ Koome called on society to support women in overcoming the challenges of gender-based violence, economic inequality, and limited access to justice. She noted that many women suffer silently, burdened by trauma and systemic barriers. “We have to break these cycles. Justice is not just found in the courts—it is within our communities, where we must empower women to solve problems and build peace.”

ENAF envisions an inclusive society where girls and women enjoy full rights and participate fully. The foundation will work with like-minded partners to see that uplift communities across Africa.

As the organization embarks on this new journey, its leadership urged all stakeholders—governments, civil society, and individuals—to champion the vision of a more just and equitable world for women and girls.
