Nairobi, February 27, 2026 — The United Democratic Alliance has declared a sweeping victory in the February 26 by-elections, terming the outcome a strong endorsement of its leadership and development agenda.

Addressing the press in Nairobi on Friday, UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan said the results confirm the party remains the most popular political outfit in the country.

In Isiolo South, Hon. Tubi Mohamed Tubi clinched the parliamentary seat on a UDA ticket. The party also secured ward victories, with Hon. Eliphas Kainanga winning in West Kabras, Hon. Duncan Muratia Nyaga in Evurore and Hon. Peterson Njeru Njiru in Muminji.

Hassan described the outcome as a clean sweep and a clear signal of sustained public confidence in the party’s leadership. He said the wins reflect growing support for UDA’s manifesto and socio-economic transformation agenda, which he noted is anchored on inclusivity, dignity and economic empowerment.

At the same time, he took aim at the opposition, accusing it of lacking policy direction and relying on divisive, rhetoric-driven politics. He argued that voters rejected what he termed noise without substance and instead backed a development-focused agenda.

He added that the by-election results demonstrate public support for the implementation of the party’s development blueprint, commonly referred to as The Plan. According to him, the strategy seeks to accelerate Kenya’s industrialisation and drive economic growth.

Hassan thanked voters in Isiolo South, West Kabras, Evurore and Muminji for turning out in large numbers and for supporting UDA candidates, saying the party remains committed to delivering on its promises.
